CONTEMPORARY ART
Modern and contemporary art holds a firm fascination for all of us. Is this because it shows a mirror to our own society, blesses our lives with a commentary that serves our vanity, invites speculation that serves our ego? Perhaps all of these things and many more. It’s certainly the most vibrant arena.

Lamberty in the Media
Andrew has had a media career spanning 11 years. He took part in four seasons of channel 4’s Four Rooms, a season with Auction Heroon BBC 2, and latterly a cameo role in Sky Art’s feature mockumentary TheBanksy Job.
‘It’s been a lot of fun, and the Four Rooms experience put me in front of a lotinteresting people and pieces. I have a few favourite items – the Concorde nosecone, the Chapman Brothers earliest sculpture, and the wonderful MedievalJapanese Katana owned by a former Shogun. The series really showcased thevariety of objects that have been created by human kind and also the richnessof our lucky lives to be finding homes for these superb creations.’
I have also co-curated with James Perkins two exotic sales at Aynhoe Park, which was a lot of fun and very rewarding.
Tycoon buys nose of Concorde for £100,000 (now he has to tell his wife)
It is the most distinctive part of the most famous passenger plane in history.
Now this nose cone from a British Airways Concorde has found a new home and purpose – as a decoration on the wall of a London property magnate’s house.
